Welcome

I would like to welcome you to my new Blog. I do have a second located at http://danherrington.blogspot.ca/ that consists of more writing than graphics and text and the content you will see here. Feel free to check that one out too if you like.

By heart I am a writer. However, more and more graphics and text collectively and convey more potent messages with less opinions. As such I thought it wise to try something new and see how this combination would work out.

I hope you enjoy your stay and feel free to save and use the graphics I post. This is as much for you as it is for me.

How to Turn old Floppy Disks into Bracelets, Necklaces, or Belts

1. Grab a floppy disk

2. Just pop out the centre piece, paint it or leave it silver. Your choice. Then find a stringer to put them all together and you end up with

That simple. One less thing that doesn't go into the dump. Besides which if you make them, apparently they sell well at flea market etc. One story ( rumour ) I heard is a woman made $1000 in one weekend charging $20 per necklace. Once she perfected her way of making them she averaged around $18/hr if it was a regular job. Not bad for a flea market, a hobby, and a weekend.

Give it a whirl and let me know how it goes. There are surely still lots of Floppy disks around.

Up next I will see what I can find with older used CD or CDRW or DVD disks although each is slightly different in colour.
