Jewelry made from Floppy Disks

Nice necklace. Hand made and this is what is looks like finished...Not too bad and looks OK to me as a guy. Not that I am some expert on jewelry, but wait until you see how it was made.

1. Grab a floppy disk

2. Just pop out the centre piece, paint it or leave it silver. Your choice. Then find a stringer to put them all together and you end up with

That simple. One less thing that doesn't go into the dump. Besides which if you make them, apparently they sell well at flea market etc. One story ( rumour ) I heard is a woman made $1000 in one weekend charging $20 per necklace. Once she perfected her way of making them she averaged around $18/hr if it was a regular job. Not bad for a flea market, a hobby, and a weekend.
